In the book Holes by Louis Sachar, there was this kid named Stanley Yelnats who was obese and bullied. One day, he was walking home under a freeway and was hit by Clyde Livingston’s (professional baseball player) shoes. He kept it to keep as a test subject for his father’s experiments on how to get rid of shoe odor. He didn't realize that those shoes were stolen so he was brought to court and accused of stealing the shoes. The judge gave him a choice of going to jail or camp. He chose camp where they say they are supposed to build character. I don't want to spoil the rest of the story for you.

I have many connections with Stanley. When I was in elementary school, I was accused of stealing my classmates pencils and erasers when I knew that another classmate did. He hated me and didn't even talk to me for a whole semester because she thought I was the one who stole his eraser. The classmate who really stole the pencil and eraser bullied me and never confessed that he stole it. Luckily, he left this school and was never to be seen. I really like this book because it has a lot of connections with me and its very interesting how the book ends. I recommend this book for anyone to read on their free time.
