My favorite chapter activity of The Kite Runner was the soundtrack for chapters 15 and 16. For this activity, we had to pick five songs that related to these two chapters in The Kite Runner. This was my favorite chapter activity because I enjoyed finding songs that connected to The Kite Runner. Everytime I listen to music, it brings me alive and lets me escape reality for a while. I believe that music is the best way to connect different scenes in The Kite Runner. The song lyrics and the different beats the songs have were able to show varying scenes in chapters 15 and 16 of The Kite Runner.

My group for this activity was Clayton Izuka and Alex Park. The songs that we chose were Hello by Adele, Afire Love by Ed Sheeran, Stay With Me by Sam Smith, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth, and Say Something by A Great Big World ft. Christina Aguilera. For example, Hello by Adele relates to Rahim Khan calling Amir to talk about what is happening to him now. In The Kite Runner, it says that Rahim Khan and Amir talk about Afghanistan, the past, and Amir’s life in America. Hello relates to this situation, because the song is talking about the past, and how the person wants to meet up and talk about the past and apologize, just like Amir and Rahim Khan’s situation.
