Paper Towns by John Green is one of the best books I've read. Paper Towns is about a boy named Quentin Jacobson and a girl named Margo Roth Spiegelman, who is the most popular girl in high school. One night, Margo comes to Quentin's window and they are going to have the night of their lives. Margo recruits Quentin to join her to prank her friends that have betrayed her. However, the next day, Margo is nowhere to be found. Quentin gets help from a few friends and some cryptic clues that they find. Quentin embarks on a mission to find the girl who stole his heart and made him feel truly alive. I particularly like Paper Towns because love stories are usually in a girl's point of view. Paper Towns, however, is from a boy's point of view, which makes it unique. The story makes you feel attached and makes you feel like you are part of the story. It brings your heart into it. Paper Towns is a perfect
illustration on a love story that does not involve two people at the same place, but they both truly love each other.
The quote "What is the point of being alive if you don't at least try to do something remarkable?" is one quote in Paper Towns that I really like. I feel that life is about doing the things you love to do, and not the things you don't want to do. You should try to go beyond your boundaries and try new things. Life is worth living, so make it last.
The author John Green is one of my favorite authors of all time. John Green is an American author that was born on August 24, 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His book The Fault In Our Stars debuted at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list in January 2012. From that day, he became one of the most famous authors in the US. The Fault In Our Stars became a motion film production that was at number one in the box office in 2014. In 2015, another one of John Green's novels, Paper Towns became another major film.
Paper Towns resonates with me in some ways. A connection that I can make is text-to-self. In a way, I am like Margo. Margo likes to play pranks on her friends, and I like to do that too. Playing pranks on my friends and family members are fun. It makes me laugh, just like Margo. Everytime Margo played pranks on her friends, she always laughs and thinks it's funny.
Overall, Paper Towns was one of my favorite books that I read this quarter, and I will surely read it one day again.
