Poetry is my favorite

To me, this chapter activity was my personal favorite for two reasons. One I
love writing poems. Then two, I believed that all of these poems that I had written
with the help of getting ideas from Prunella and Ami, I believed that they all had a
deeper feel and meaning to them. I love to look in between the lines when writing or
reading poems, because growing up I’d always think of riddles and poems to be
interestingly mysterious. You’d always have to look carefully and then think about
the words to find deeper meanings to what you think the person is saying. These
poems about the Kite Runner represent so much more, like in the last poem, “The
Item.” The item could mean many things, such as the item of curiosity, the item of
love, the item of almost anything. Then the watch going tick-tock, tick-tock, it shows
that time is moving on, and you shouldn’t live in the past, and you should look
forward into the future. There are so much more to poems that fascinate me, and
these are some of the reasons to why this was my favorite activity.
