The Kite That Soars
The process of making my kite was a very nice, interesting, and a little bit bloody. Making the kite was fun and easy, and my group had, Ami, Prunella, Aj and I, and at first we thought nothing was going to get done, but it did. During the process of making the structure of the kite Aj cut himself with a pocket knife, with me slowly following in his steps right after, that’s when we stopped working. The entire process of making the kite was simple, and we had to go step-by-step to be sure everything was perfect, and that the kite wouldn’t fall apart. Then the final step was to add the things that we need to talk about onto the kite, and we did that with ease.
I was pretty proud of our kite, because it resembled a lot of things. Such as putting it into the figure of a box, so it seems like a box type lantern in the sky when it’ll fly up high, and it resembles hope. Hope that everything will be okay, and hope that even with all the horrible things closing in, that there is hope in the future. The first box of the kite contains our write-ups on prompts we had to talk about. And this consisted of talking about Amir and Hassan’s pomegranate tree of knowing where home is. Assef the big bad guy that just got worse throughout the story, the theme, and the turning point in the story. The colors that are on the kite also resemble a point in the story such as the blue represents the calmness, the yellow shows the hope, the red shows the blood that was lost, and the black shows the darkness of the story. Then on the bottom of the box it had our favorite quotes that showed the most meaning to us through out the story of the Kite Runner.
