Unorthodox Tuesday Night

Something happened on Tuesday night at nine.

I can hear strange noises from the outside,

I feel like my heart is like a land mine,

I crouched up and looked for a place to hide.

Something mysterious is next to me

It was a creature that was very small

Curious as I am, I touched the entity

Tears rushed down my face like a waterfall

But, it transformed into something whimsical

puzzled as I am, I just looked at it

moments later, it became physical

my eyes got stuck on it like a tar pit

it took a while before I realized,

My brother who frightened me by surprise.

I chose this poem because I feel like this poem really expresses my feeling. I wrote this poem from my heart and put in 100% effort. I thought about what to write, and how it will bring attention to the readers, so this is why I chose this storyline. This poem is about a kid who hears strange noises at night, when he finds out that it's actually his brother who was scaring him and making the noises. My poem gives the same feeling that I put into it. Being scared and sadness.
