True Love

True love, the thing I never believed in

I had never experienced it before

Until I saw the happiness within

Then I found out what I was looking for

The solution to all of my problems

The light that I saw in my darkest days

Just like the love you see in tv dramas

Something that I was able to praise

But not everything was meant to be

You just disappeared without any warning

Like nothing in the world is there for me

Left with memories that I am missing

Even after the pain you put me through

No matter what I will always stay true

I, Anna Calvert, wrote this sonnet because I wanted people to connect with this poem/sonnet. I believe that true love is something that is very difficult to find and many people believe that they found their soulmate at first but then that person ends up leaving them. True love is not something that someone can find very easily and not many people believe in it because it is hard to find. I chose to add this sonnet into the blog because I thought that I was able to connect with this sonnet. I also thought that this sonnet had an emotional connection to it and anyone who experienced a heartbreak can relate to it. I want people to read this sonnet and connect to it to something they experienced.
