Summer in Fiji
My 2016 summer was very tiring, but it was fun. I got a scholarship to train in the Regional Training Center in Fiji with other people from all over the pacific. In Fiji, I trained everyday as well as played many high level international tournaments. I trained every single day for about six hours from June to August. In one ITF tournament, I made it to the quarter finals of doubles with my friend from Saipan, Isabel Heras. With this win, we were able to get a junior world ranking. I am currently ranked around 2000 in the world, and I hope to improve my ranking as I grow older.
Even though we trained everyday, I got to meet so many new friends from all over the pacific as well as learn new languages from the different islands as well. The training in Fiji has made my tennis game rise to a whole new level, and I hope that my tennis continues to improve over the years.
